Latest show update:

MAY17th 2008

Hey hey  you guys sorry it took so long to get this going. With all the changes and updates its hard to get it all done. But also there is one thing that happened at the last show that was very upsetting. Some of you emailed me and told me how you feel. So I am taking extra special care with this. I am not going to do anything right now. In due time my family all in due time. I hope you like some of the changes so far. There is still a lot to do. If there is anything you would like to see here or you want to tell me it sucks or what ever go to my myspace and let me know! Ok now on to the good stuff. This post is brought to you by a good friend and a wrestling superfan Patrick B. thanks to him for helping me out in a super pinch.

In the opening matchup, the popular Krotch took on newcomer Kyle O'Reilly. O'Reilly tried several underhanded methods to gain an advantage and even faked a knee injury at one point. However, Krotch made the comeback and scored the victory with the Krotch Rocket(Sliced Bread #2).

Mr. K conducted an insightful interview with Cabal where he managed to convey his intention to pursue championship gold. This brought out the Heavyweight Champion Chuck Valentine who was quick to accept the challenge. The battle of the big men ended when Valentine powered the masked man up into a Samoan drop to get the duke.

Another newcomer to the MECW ranks, Zach Thompson, took on a more familiar face in the form of Bailey Mannix(accompanied by Leon Alexander). Thompson put up a good fight but Leon's interference was the deciding factor...Mannix finished off Thompson with a hanging inverted neckbreaker.

In a battle of one of MECW's most popular competitors and one of its most hated, Gabriel Brimstone went head-to-head with Brian Scrilla. The Syndicate was nowhere in sight on this night and Brimstone was able to defeat Scrilla with a DDT!

The tag team ranks took the stage as two new duos clashed...Full Throttle(Brandon Marino & Aaron Scott) and The Bayou Outlaws(Mad Dog McDowell & Aaron Masterson). The Outlaws were able to cut off the ring for several minutes, but Full Throttle made the comeback. Scott lifted Masterson on his shoulders and Marino delivered a flying Ace Crusher from the top rope, allowing Scott to get the three-count on Masterson!

Dewey "Booger" Dawson faced a tough test in the form of Canadian import Ryan Slade...but with the fans rallying behind him, Booger notched the victory with the Dewey Decimal Drop!

In what was scheduled to be the final match of the night, Hunter Matthews defended his Independent Title against rival Jordan McEntyre. The fans saw far more of Matthews than they ever wanted to see when McEntyre pulled down his tights while attempting a sunset flip. McEntyre appeared to have the title won when he locked Hunter in a Boston crab in the middle of the ring. However, Brian Scrilla, Bailey Mannix, and Leon Alexander attacked McEntyre to cause a disqualification! Krotch and Gabriel Brimstone ran into the ring to even the odds and Mr. K called for an impromptu six-man tag match!

In the main event, the McEntyre/Krotch/Brimstone trio emerged victorious over Matthews, Scrilla, and Mannix(w/ Alexander). It seemed like every time one wrestler hit a signature move on another, a tag team partner would break up the pin attempt. However, McEntyre was finally able to force Matthews to submit to the Boston crab with no one left to save him! Mr. K declared that McEntyre deserved another shot at the Independent Title...and it would happen at the next MECW show!

Ok there it is everything. The next show will not be until july so enjoy your heads while you still can. ‘cause when you go to the next show your head will get blown clear off your shoulders. We have some great things lined up for are family. And remember the bring a friend contest is still a go. With a little more to the winnings then what I said at the last show. All rules and winnings will be on the MECW myspace page soon.

All right I will talk with you guys later. Hope to see at the next family event!!!

Mr.K

Past shows. Just incase you want to relive the greatest days of your life!

November 17th, 2007, KC Hall, Wood River, IL

Pics of this event can be seen here!

                  The first show!!!

·   Jordan McEntyre defeated Reid Reign via Pinfall after a mule kick to the jaw.

·   Cameron Cage destroyed Gabriel Brimstone in under 3 minutes, but refused to leave the ring after the match.  Instead, he continued to attack Brimstone seemingly trying to put an end to his career.  Marshall Garrett made the save, but in order to restore order, Mr. K signed them to a heavyweight title match later that night.

·   Brian Scrilla defeated Reginald Blackwell III via the Don Bomb.  Blackwell’s speed wasn’t enough to overcome Scrilla’s raw force.  An Angry Blackwell turned on his fans after the match.

·   Frankie D and Cabal fought a fisticuffs battle outside that ended in a double count out.  Frankie D seemed strong, but despite even the presence of Billy D, his brother, ended up fleeing from the monster Cabal.

·   Hunter Matthews stole a win from Shawn Santel to become the first MECW independent champion.  This match, following intermission, set the stage for the explosive second half of the night.  For almost 30 minutes, the two battled back and forth, Santel showing amazing technical prowess and Matthews showing his unscrupulous ethic.  In the end, Matthews was able to use Santel’s momentum from a top rope cross body block to reverse the pin.  Even though the tape clearly showed Matthews holding Santel’s tights, Matthews was able to walk away victorious.

·   Dewey Dawson defeated Sean Vincent Via DQ—no not Dairy Queen…

·   Shane Sommers was able to squeeze out a victory against Devon Spade.

·   Chuck Valentine forged an alliance with Dewey Dawson ensuring the two would be the final contestants in the 20 man battle royal for the number one contender spot to the MECW Heavyweight title.  Unfortunately, the reluctant pair were forced to continue the battle, as there could be only one winner.  Size versus smarts?  Whatever it was, Valentine came out on top, but not without showing respect to his new friend.  Perhaps we’ll see some teaming from these two at a later date…

·   The Main event saw Cameron Cage and Marshall Garrett pummeling one another, each trying to make history by becoming the first ever MECW Heavyweight Champion.  Referee Myles Murphey was injured during the brawl and didn’t see Cage’s fist or the chain wrapped around it that took down the Marshall.  Not content at simply winning the title, Cage once again continued his assault on Garrett only to be ejected from the ring by Santel and a recovered Gabriel Brimstone.

·   Santel addressed the audience, thanking them for being the first to witness the Saint Louis Metro East area’s newest promotion.  He ended the night with a challenge for the audience… “If you’re ready…  If you believe it’s about time, then come see us again Saturday, December 1st.”

December 1st, 2007, KC Hall, Wood River, IL

Pics of this event can be seen here!

·     The Man of Value pinned Kid Hybrid after a highly technical match that went back and forth!

·     In a Mask vs Mask match that pitted the proverbial David VS Goliath, Gabriel Brimstone held his own against the monster Cabal!  Brimstone looked to be outsized from the beginning, but in the end, showed that awesome things can come in small packages.  The two left as friends.  Maybe we’ll see a team formed…

·     Reid Reign and Dewey “Booger” Dawson showed the crowd what wrestling was in a hard fought battle.  In the end, Boogers Reigned over the day, however.

·     Jordan McEntyre took on Hunter Matthews in another great match.  In the end, Jordan made the pin and thought he won only to learn all too late that Matthews foot was on the rope.  A quick roll up and the Champion defended his title.

·     Marshall Law was crowned the first MECW Tag Team Champions after putting down Brian Scrilla and his mystery partner, MECW newcomer, Saul Goode.  After the match, a heated Scrilla put the boots to Goode and left.  Independent Champion, Hunter Matthews had some words for Goode, though.  Fans will have to see what happens between these three.

·     Krotch defeated Knight Wagner in a match that could easily have gone either way.

·     A three way match between A.D.D, Sean Vincent, and Delicious Danny Scott ended in a victory for A.D.D.

·     Chuck Valentine went toe to toe with the MECW Heavyweight Champion, Cameron Cage.  Once again, Cage resorted to short cuts to take down a threat.  Both wrestlers showed great prowess in the ring, though.  Who will face Cage next?

January 12th, 2007, KC Hall, Wood River, IL

·     Bret Gakiya defeated his own tag partner, C J Esparza in a friendly competition to show the MECW fans what they have to offer.

·     Sean Vincent was victorious over the All American Athlete, Saul Goode.

·     Knight Wagner won a match against Cabal via a count out.  It took Wagner only 5 minutes to incapacitate the big man.

·     Chaz Wesson and Ali Stevens battled to a time limit draw.

·     Cameron Cage used his infamous chain to win out against Dewey Dawson.  Chaz Wesson was able to make the save, when Cage decided to try to injure another opponent after the match.

·     Big Chuck Valentine took a win against Bailey Mannix.

·     Jordan McEntyre defeated Krotch in a hard fought match.  Afterward, the two shook hands.

·     Marshall Law was robbed of victory in a 6 man tag when Brian Scrilla used a chair to injure the arm and shoulder of Shawn Santel.  Scrilla, Danny Daniels, and Independent champ, Hunter Matthews were thus victorious over Marshall Garrett, Shawn Santel, and Gabriel Brimstone.

February 2nd, 2007, KC Hall, Wood River, IL

·     Battling Mardi Gras and Super Bowl prep, Mr. K welcomed a smaller, but still very active and faithful crowd to the show.  In order to bring the crowd up to speed on recent events, Mr. K gave a run down of last month’s show.  In order to get the right details, however, regarding Santel and his injury, K called out Marshall Garrett.  Garrett revealed that while Santel is not hospitalized, his doctor has not cleared him to wrestle.  The injury in his shoulder seems to be worse than initially expected.  Scrilla came out to gloat and a challenge was issued between the two.  There was a catch, however.  If Scrilla lost, he would leave behind any claims toward the MECW Tag Team Belts.  If he won, however, he would replace Santel as ½ of the champions.  The battle was fierce.  Garrett gave out come payback for the injury to his partner, but in the end, scrilla used both the ropes and Garrett’s singlet to secure a cheap win.  Obviously Garrett was upset be the development, but bound by contract, he must defend the titles with Scrilla next month.

·     Gabriel Brimstone and Sean Vincent battled to a double count-out with Brimstone inches away from victory before the bell rang.  Vincent’s quickness and smart ring presence, plus some cheap tactics hit a stalemate against Brimstone’s hard hitting and quick defense.

·     Krotch was victorious over Bailey Mannix much to the approval of the MECW crowd.  Fast moves, freakish attitude, and a catfight ended the display of prowess shown by both competitors as their managers went at it in the ring.

·     Zero Gravity and the Hybrids gave the crowd the most technical display of aerial acrobatics and athleticism ever seen in the Wood River area.  In the end, however, the Hybrids’ double team finisher was devastating and ensured them the win.

·     Hunter Matthews retained his title after getting himself disqualified by the use of a low blow against Big Chuck Valentine.  Matthews seemed unable to keep the big man down and resorted to practically every known trick to try to secure a win.  The battle isn’t over between these two, and fans will surely want to see where this one is going.  Will Matthews end the feud, or will we see a new MECW Independent champion crowned?

·     Danny Daniels defeated Jordan McEntyre with a piledriver.  Perhaps the luck of the Irish will break this streak for Jordan next month.

·     Dewey “booger” Dawson took on Devon Spade, taking the win after the decimal drop, landing him the number one contender spot for the second time.  Will Dawson rise to the challenge, or are there other things on his mind than the Heavy Weight title?

·     Cade Sydell defeated the All American Athlete, Saul Goode by using the ropes.  This new villain seems likely to make waves in the MECW locker room.

·     HISTORY was made when Chaz Wesson took the Heavy Weight title from Cameron Cage.  Magic Man at his side, Wesson took Cage to task, standing toe to toe, move for move.  Will Cage be able to invoke the rematch clause in his contract, or lose what he believes to be rightfully his?  How long will Wesson hold the title?  Only time will tell.

·     Rumors sprang up of a new faction forming in the locker room of MECW.  More on this as it develops.

·     Cage was seen kicking in the doors of lockers in the locker room.  Witnesses said he appeared to be raving about help from a friend in a possible rematch.

·     Chuck Valentine and Hunter Matthews were both seen steaming about their match.  The heat between these two seems to be building to an intolerable level.

·     Fans were asking all night what was going to happen with the situation between Marshall Law and Brian Scrilla.  When will Santel return?  What can be done to set matters straight?  Have we seen the end of Wood River’s favorite tag team?

March 1st, 2007, KC Hall, Wood River, IL…

·     Bailey Mannix defeated Jordan McEntyre with assistance from his manager "Lovely" Leon Alexander!

·     Kabal was victorious over newcomer "Role Model" Rich Rogers w/ the Cobra Clutch Slam.  The crowd seemed to show a renewed interest in Cabal. Is it time for something big?

·     Big Chuck Valentine won out over Devon Spade in a number 1 contender match for the vacant MECW Heavyweight title! Valentine ended the match with the V.D. (Valentine Drop). After the match, Brian Scrilla slithered out to ringside to approach Devon Sade about a possible business deal.

Gabriel Brimstone scored an infuriating victory over Brian Scrilla Via disqualification when a man in black attacked brimstone as he was winning over Scrilla.  Who is this masked man, and where did he come from?!?

Dewey "Booger" Dawson defeated Cade Sydell with a sunset flip pin.  Once again, Brian Scrilla reared his ugly head after the match to talk to Cade Sydell.

Knight Wagner cheated out a victory over A.D.D. after a low blow & a lethal Slam that put A.D.D down for the 1,2,3.

Hunter Matthews was victorious over Krotch, retaining his MECW Independent Championship.  Matthews, also known as little sprout (ho ho ho, Green Giant!) tricked the ref into believing that Krotch hit him with a chair.

Make sure you see all the action up front and personal at the next show!  See ya there!
